Tasmania Chapter

Tasmania Chapter

This Chapter covers a large area but we have members from far and wide willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Until each of the major waterways get enough support to form smaller Chapters, members are happy to work together across a mix of habitats, freshwater and saltwater, to make sure habitat happens.

Coorong Chapter

Coorong Chapter

The way our chapter came about was from a natural progression from our ‘Young Husband Fishing Club’ members and others in the region wanting to make the Coorong Estuary fishing like it used to be prior to man’s intervention on the freshwater flows. Well at least as close as we can as we all understand that the northern end of the Coorong Estuary has barrages restricting inflows from the Murray River with locks all the way along with it for water storage giving us food production and drinking water. We had seen the work OzFish had done around the country improving fish habitat and thought we could be part of this in our own backyard.

Adelaide Chapter

Adelaide Chapter

The chapter was set up by a group of recreational fishers and ecologists with like-minded visions for the future of the South Australian Coast.

The establishment of the Chapter was driven by the desire to bring the Seeds for Snapper project to South Australia. After three successful years of seagrass meadow restoration in WA, the Chapter members believe that it’s now SA’s time to get to work and restore this vital fish habitat in the GSV.
