Cassie Price who is currently OzFish, Director of Habitat Programs will officially take over as CEO on 1 July 2024 and will work with Craig over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

After a short break, Craig will return to OzFish in a part-time capacity working on large scale restoration projects and partnerships.

David Coogan Chair of the OzFish Unlimited Board said “It is difficult to put into words the impact Craig has made to Australian waterways and the legacy he continues to leave”.

“Craig has been an advocate for fish and growing their populations through habitat restoration for over three decades and his groundbreaking work before and with OzFish has made an indelible mark on Australia’s waterways.”

“His ability to inspire individuals to act has created the OzFish movement and they are equally as passionate about making a difference to our waterways in the same manner David said.”

Craig Copeland CEO of OzFish said “I never thought that we would be able to deliver so many great outcomes but the passion and commitment of our staff and members has meant that not only have we been successful, but their constant pursuit of better habitats means the future looks bright”.

“I am particularly proud that Cassie is taking over as she has been a key driver behind our success and is as passionate as I am about restoring our waterways.

Cassie Price added.

“With my passion for fishing and career in restoration, OzFish has always been the place for me. Craig and I have worked together for almost 25 years and it’s my great privilege to be able to carry on his vision for OzFish and continue this amazing movement he started.”

“I’m looking forward to leading the team we’ve built, working with our major partner BCF and our other stakeholders on what’s next to expand our leading programs in seagrass and shellfish restoration, restoring MDB rivers and working on these actions in partnership with First Nation communities,” she said.
