Unveiling the hidden world inside Robust Oyster Baskets 

OzFish has established strong partnerships with The University of Queensland, Sunshine Coast University, and Griffith University to conduct in-depth research on the functionality of shellfish reefs, their environmental impact, and their suitability as habitats for fish. Leveraging modern technology, monitoring these reefs both above and below the water’s surface is relatively simple, yet the true discoveries are found within the Robust Oyster Baskets (ROBs).

Working in collaboration with DWER and UWA, OzFish are starting a new Halophila ovalis seagrass restoration trial in Leschenault Estuary. This project will form part of Leschenault Catchment Council’s Leschenault Estuary Connect program, an innovative program aimed at connecting and engaging the local community to protect and enhance the Leschenault Estuary for future generations.

Victorian recreational anglers surrounding the Murray River are invited to the latest Fish Talk at Echuca Workers on Thursday 7 December.  OzFish Unlimited are delivering the event alongside Victorian Fishing Authority and they’re bringing in the heavyweights of fishing with them.
