NSW Fish Talks – Manning

OzFish are hosting a series of ‘Fish Talks’ along the NSW East Coast and we want to invite you!

Join OzFish for a night where you will hear from scientists, experts, environmental managers and rec fishers about some of the incredible work being done to protect and restore vital fish habitat as well as topics relating to recreational species.

Speakers

Jess Leck | MidCoast2Tops Landcare Coordiner
The structure of Landcare and the support they can offer to landholders living along the Manning River.

Kris Cooling | Fisheries Research and Development Cooperation
The value of Wallis Lake fisheries from an economic and environmental perspective: prawns, blue swimmer crabs, mullet, bream and flathead.

Dr John Harris | Adjunct Professor Centre for Ecosystem Science, School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences, UNSW and local Bootawa resident
Restoring bass and other fish populations by overcoming migration barriers.

Russell Babekuhl | Local Rec Fisher
Topwater flathead, chasing them on the flats, and why flats are a good habitat to target fish.
 
Please arrive at 5.45pm for a 6.00pm start. Catering will be provided for those that register and there will be lucky door prizes up for grabs.
