Ripples of Change Project – Paddle One
August 10 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm AEST
Ripples of Change; supporting women’s mental health through social connection and environmental stewardship.
The Ripples of Change Project aims to support local women experiencing social isolation and hardships with the opportunity to connect with other women and be part of the energy and flow of our pristine waterways.
We wish to invite professionals and leaders of our community to join us for our first paddle as we experience the magic of building resilience, connection and environmental stewardship within the Manning Valley. After attending the first paddle, participants can “pay it forward” by sharing an invitation with somebody in their community who they feel will benefit from such an experience. The story continues for each following paddle, creating Ripples of Change for mental health and well-being support.
We encourage all participants and supporters of the cause to join us at a local venue in November as we celebrate our successes and stories from attendees about their experiences and work together to continue building opportunities and stronger connections for mental health support in the Manning Valley. Registration will open in the coming weeks.
Each paddle will have a limit of up to 7 people on the water, with the option to participate in waterway habitat mapping with OzFish Unlimited, assisting with future river restoration projects.
Paddle Details:
Our first paddle will be held at Khappinghat Creek, Saltwater Lagoon. The map is shown below. Depending on river conditions, access points, and weather, future paddling locations will likely be determined closer to each date. By registering your interest via OzFish’s registration page, we will notify you of upcoming information.
Please note: places at this event are limited, with attendance by invite only.
