Braeden Lampard has over 9 years’ experience working in local stakeholder engagement, communications and fish ecology. Braeden is a dedicated and highly motivated professional who has had a strong interest in the environment since his childhood, which started from camping, bushwalking and fishing along the Murray and Darling Rivers.
Stu works in the Native Fish Recovery team at the Murray-Darling Basin Authority. Stu and his team are responsible for implementing the Foundational Actions of the Native Fish Recovery Strategy and using the best available knowledge to support water planning and actions that support native fish recovery. Stu’s love of native fish stems from the unique needs that each fish species has, and their importance to every part of our community.
Richard Mintern is the Local Engagement Officer, Southern Basin for the Commonwealth Environmental Water Office.
Steve ‘Starlo’ Starling is Australia’s best-known and most prolific fishing writer, having published over 20 books, thousands of magazine articles and scores of DVDs and videos. Starlo was a co-presenter on the “Rex Hunt Fishing Adventures” TV show through the 1990s and is today increasingly active in on-line recreational angling media.
Iain is a Fisheries Manager at NSW DPI Fisheries. He is currently the Coordinator for the Native Fish Strategy Lower Darling Recovery Reach, leads projects targeting to native fish conservation and recovery, contributes to water and flow management in the Southern Murray-Darling Basin and is a key contact in the field of community engagement relating to native freshwater fish.
David Wood has lived and worked in Mildura and on the Murray River and surrounding floodplains for nearly 13 years. As the Program Manager for The Living Murray Icon Sites for the Mallee Catchment Management Authority, he oversees the delivery of environmental water across these sites, as well as a number of projects which investigates the response of the natural environments to water.
Prior to working at the Mallee CMA, he worked at the local Freshwater Research facility, where he undertook research projects in the local region for 10 years.
Jane is working with the VMFRP team to engage stakeholders and the community about floodplains and their need for water.
She has been involved in river management and water policy in DELWP for over 20 years, mainly working with communities on issues such as water quality monitoring, salinity management and how best to adjust to a drying future. While not a great fisher, growing up in Shepparton means the health of inland rivers has always been a passion.
