Beers For The Bidgee
March 17, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm AEDT
Come on down to the Thirsty Crow to sink a beer and have a yarn about fish and the importance of a healthy waterway.
To be a good fisho, and to have good fishing, we need to know how we can help improve fish habitat. This free event is a great chance to get some mates together for a fun night at the local pub. There will be three short presentations to help educate and guide the discussions for the night.
We want to make fish habitat restoration easy to understand so that more fishos can be aware and get involved with what’s happening in their backyard.
Talk one:
Braeden Lampard– OzFish Unlimited
Grant Higginson – OzFish Unlimited
Topic: How and why we should repair fish habitat in sections of the Tarcutta Creek
Talk two:
James Dyer from NSW Department of Planning and Environment
Anthony Wilson from Commonwealth Environmental Water Office
Topic: A joint presentation for the Mid Murray area on fish outcomes
Talk three:
Kade Small SCS Senior Environmental Officer
Topic: Rehabilitating our streams by controlling erosion and restoring native vegetation
Light snacks will be provided, and drinks can be purchased from the bar. Let’s raise a schooner to helping improve rec fishing in the region.
Registrations for the event are essential – spots are filling up fast.
