National Tree Planting Day is coming up and OzFish Richmond River Chapter invites the community to join them and plant some trees

The trees will be planted along a creek in Broken Head that connects to North Creek in Ballina. Tree planting along riverbanks is highly beneficial to rivers as it improves riverbank stability and water quality, provides fish habitat and prevents toxic elements from entering waterways. Attendees are asked to wear boots that can get muddy, gloves, hat, sun protection, and bring plenty of drinking water. Registration is essential, we hope to see you there!
