Thinking Fish Forum, Lake Macquarie NSW

June 29, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

Come join OzFish Unlimited and NSW DPI Fisheries for the ‘Lake Mac Thinking Fish Forum’ on Wednesday 29 June at the Lake Macquarie Yacht Club.

The night will see talks delivered by some of the leading names in fisheries research, as well as a ‘how-to’ seminary delivered by some gun anglers from around the lake. The night will be focused on MULLOWAY and BIG DUSKY FLATHEAD.

Topics and speakers will include:

Dan Guilfoyle – Catching mulloway and big flathead in Lake Mac
Julian Hughes – Mulloway in NSW and what we know.
Clayton Hilbert – Flathead and mulloway tagging programs in the Hunter.
Tim Marsden – What is fish passage and why is it important?
Jonathon Bleakley – OzFish Unlimited and why we should care.

The ‘Lake Mac Thinking Fish Forum’ is all about getting like-minded fishos together to chat about some of the leading issues and talking points in the Lake Mac/Hunter area. It’s a chance to learn something new, contribute to important conversations for the local waterways, and show your support for improving fish habitat. Food will be provided and drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Registration is essential for catering and reporting purposes.

Thanks to our good mates over at Berkley, the first 50 through the door will get a free packet of Gulp! Soft plastics.
