Gone Fishing Day 2022 – Manning River Chapter

October 16, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm AEDT

Gone Fishing Day will promote sustainable recreational fishing and raise awareness about the importance of local habitats in the Manning. This year’s theme is ‘change it up’, so we’re encouraging fishers to switch up their style, whether that be tackle type, targeted species, location, or style of fishing etc.

This family friendly event will be fun and interactive for all ages, and suitable to all fishing expertise. Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned rec fisher there will be something for everyone, including exciting guests speakers and engaging activities. After lunch, which will be provided, attendees will have the opportunity to wet a line and put their new skills to the test. We encourage visitors to bring along a rod + reel to get involved.

Plenty of prizes and giveaways are up for grabs, including estuary starter kits, rod + reel combos, catch and release kits, lures, kid’s packs etc.

Registration is essential. We hope to see you there!
