Hastings River Chapter

The Hastings River Chapter came together through our concern and interest in being able to restore the fish habitat. Our area encompasses the Hastings River through to the Camden Haven Inlet & River and catchment. In the middle, we have the Lake Cathie Lake Innes Estuarine System where in the past was described as “the Jewel of the Hasting”. Join our Chapter now to help restore fish habitat in our waterways.

The OzFish Hastings River Chapter covers an extensive area located on the mid-north coast town of Port Macquarie. The Chapters reach extends north to Limeburner Creek and its catchment, west to Long Flat and surrounding areas, and south to the Camden Haven River and its catchment, encompassing all waterways in between.

The traditional owners and custodians of this region are the Dainggatti and Biripi people.

Members meet periodically throughout the year for informal gatherings, discussing projects and enhancements to the regions fish habitat. Meeting details, including dates and venues, are communicated to members via email notifications.
