Reel in your share of $25k in prizes at Copeton, NSW this November

Hailed as one of Australia’s premier cod fishing destinations, Copeton Waters is a native angler’s paradise.

Metre-long Murray cod and football-sized golden perch are regulars on the line, with eel-tailed catfish a common catch. There are also whispers of redfin if you’re lucky, and a remnant population of trout.

If that piqued your interest, and you also happen to like the sound of heaps of ways to win the $25,000 in prizes, you ought to join us at our brand-new fishing competition at Reflections Copeton Waters on November 1-3 2024.

How to win

With sections for adults, teens and juniors, the whole family is in with a chance to bag a prize! You don’t even need to catch the biggest fish, with mystery length categories, pest fish prizes and even rewards for sustainable practices like recycling fishing gear and picking up litter. There’ll be a lucky prize draw with epic fishing gear up for grabs, and you can also try your luck in the raffle.

There’s plenty of opportunities to get amongst the fish with multiple boat ramps at the park. If kicking back with the bells and a good book is more your style, there’s quite literally kilometres of banks to wet a line. With maintained roads all throughout the park, kayakers have ample prime areas to bank launch from. Check out the full park map.

Where to stay

Like the sound of waking up to water views? You’re in luck, because there’s no shortage of waterfront real estate at Reflections Copeton Waters.

If you don’t mind camping off grid, you can set up at the waters edge and have your lines in while kicking back in your favourite camp chair. If ‘roughing it’ isn’t your idea of a holiday, there’s powered sites for tents and vans, as well as a wide range of cabins fit for a (cod catching) king!

All the facilities you could ever need are on site, including a camp kitchen and full amenities. There’s a kiosk on site if your motivation to cook up a campfire feast wanes, plus a full playground featuring a splash park for the kids.
