Celebrate Gone Fishing Day with your local OzFish Chapter!

Gone Fishing Day is almost here, and our OzFish chapters are busy organising a range of family friendly fishing events!

This annual celebration on October 13, lead by the Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation, is your chance to reconnect with nature, leave your troubles behind, and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of fishing with other likeminded locals.

With this year’s theme, Fish for Balance, Get Back to Nature, we’re inviting anglers of all ages and experience levels to come out and celebrate fishing as a way to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors.

From family-friendly activities to hands-on fishing adventures, there’s something for everyone at your local OzFish chapter event.

Register now for a day on the water, meet fellow fishers, and learn more about how you can make a positive impact on our fish habitats.

Whether you’re casting a line from shore or taking a boat out to support local reef restoration, it’s a great chance to fish for good health and good times.

Gone Fishing Day is an initiative of the Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation (ARFF), the peak national body and key voice for Australia’s recreational fishing community. These events are supported by NSW DPIRD – Fisheries and Forestry, Recreational Fishing Trusts and BCF-Boating, Camping, Fishing.
