Travis Campbell Park Tree Planting on the Oxley River at Eungella

September 25, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm AEST

Join OzFish Tweed River Chapter for a morning of tree planting at Travis Campbell Park.

Travis Campbell Park has become overrun with a variety of weeds such as Madeira vine, morning glory and Singapore daisy. OzFish, alongside Tweed Landcare, Tweed Shire Council, Friends of Travis on the Oxley,  and Tweed Bait, will eradicate these weeds and plant hundreds of natives along the riparian zone. This will improve habitat for Australian bass, and the threatened pale-vented bush hen that nests here. Additionally, the Oxley River is prone to flooding, and these activities will help to stabilise the riparian zone.

Registration is essential and lunch will be provided to those who register.

This project was made possible by Tweed Landcare, Tweed Shire Council, and Tweed Bait .
