Michelle Slater – Project Manager Northern Victoria
Michelle has grown up in the Swan Hill region on the Murray River and has spent many hours fishing and enjoying the abundance of lakes and rivers northern Victoria has to offer.
Spending time on the local waterways and camping along the Murray led to a lifelong passion for the conservation of natural environments.
Michelle has over 15 years of experience working in the field of natural resource management and ecological restoration in the Swan Hill-Kerang region. Much of this work has centred around the protection of natural waterways and catchments, and the management of remnant and degraded native vegetation, including riparian vegetation along waterways and Ramsar-listed wetlands. As a keen enthusiast of Australian plants, if Michelle isn’t out on the river with her family you’ll find her working in her native garden.
