2 large

terracotta pots installed

2 limestone reefs

installed

This was a first-of-its-kind project for South Australia – deploying complex native fish habitat in a reservoir.

Volunteers from our Barossa Chapter installed two large terracotta pot habitats and two limestone reefs.

The terracotta pots, donated by Bennetts Pottery, replicate hollow logs or rocky caves – providing fish with a place to rest in safety.

The limestone blocks, donated by RecFish SA, were installed at strategic points to create a limestone reef that could be reached by onshore anglers targeting fish.
