The OzFish Goondiwindi Chapter is organised and run by a group of enthusiastic anglers who want the best for their local waterways. They promote safe and sustainable fishing practices in the community as well as helping to support, maintain and develop community projects. They strongly believe in community spirit and giving back to the people who deserve it.

The Goondiwindi Classic is a family catch-and-release fishing comp and carp cull to educate the community on best practice for sustainable fishing.

The entry fee for adult competitors is $25. Juniors aged up to 13 can enter when accompanied/supervised by an adult. The entry fee for junior competitors is $10.

Adult competitors will compete for cash prizes for the largest Murray Cod and Golden Perch.

Junior competitors have a chance to win prizes for the most fish caught and largest (Murray Cod, Golden Perch).

There is also a carp cull for all competitors, with one prize for the biggest and another prize for the most caught.
