World Fish Migration Day – Fish Fiesta – Dubbo NSW

May 28, 2022 @ 12:45 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

Celebrate fish breaking free at the fishway during World fish Migration Day with our fishway tour, fish habitat workshop and campfire dinner.

Meet at Tamworth Street to get a free lift to the fishway at 12.45 pm otherwise, you can walk and meet us there by 1pm. Joe Brennan from DPI Fisheries will talk about fishways and why we need them. While we’re at the fishway, we can hop in canoes and paddle along the river to learn about fish habitats first-hand and plant native trees along the river.

That evening, we will be enjoying a campfire dinner along the river which should wrap up at approximately 8 pm. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the fishway and registrations for this are essential to ensure we have enough canoes and dinner for everyone
