Swan River Pygmy Mussel Workshop 1 – WA

June 21, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm AWST

What is the key to getting Big Bream out of the Swan-Canning more often? Join us on the 21st or 28th June to find out the key influence Pygmy Mussels have on the health of Bream populations.

Over the last year, The Nature Conservancy has been working with community partners, including OzFish and Murdoch University, to help address water quality and food availability through the installation of critical mussel habitat in the Swan-Canning River system. We will discuss the early success of the project and the flow on effects of healthy mussel populations to producing a high-quality Bream fishery.

This workshop will give attendees the chance to get involved with the project through the adopt-a-site initiative to keep tabs on the success of the mussel habitats. So, join us over some nibblies to have a chat about all things Bream and Mussels in the Swan

Registration is essential. We hope to see you there!
