Skinners Creek Tree Planting – NSW

September 17, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm AEST

Join OzFish Richmond River Chapter to plant trees along Skinners Creek, helping to restore 1.5km of riparian fish habitat.

Skinners Creek is located in the upper Wilson catchment in Nashua, New South Wales. The project aims to eradicate weeds (privet and camphor laurel), plant native vegetation (4,000 plants), and erect a cattle exclusion fence. These actions help to stabilise the banks of the creek and enhance fish habitat for key recreational fishing species (Australian Bass).

A BBQ lunch will be provided. Registration is essential.

This project was funded by the NSW Recreational Fishing Trust’s Fish Habitat Action Grant.
