Seeds for Snapper WA 2022 – Offshore Volunteer Session

November 24, 2022 @ 7:00 am - 1:00 pm AWST

We need volunteer divers to help collect seeds offshore.

Volunteers will travel by charter vessel to offshore seagrass meadows to harvest Posidonia australis fruit for restoration work.

As members of the local community, you can play an active role in restoring these vitally important natural habitats. OzFish is determined to restore seagrass loss via harvesting seagrass fruits and reseeding them into areas ready to be re-established as seagrass meadows. Doing so will provide shelter for our diverse range of marine species, including important recreational fishing species such as our iconic pink snapper.
