Search for the Prehistoric Lungfish – NSW

April 16, 2023 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm AEST

Join Richmond River Chapter in search of the pre-historic Australian Lungfish!

We are following up on an exciting couple of sightings of the pre-historic Australian Lungfish. The morning will also include a workshop on using eDNA tests, with water bug testing to monitor water quality.

Australian Lungfish are known to inhabit areas in south-east Queensland, with sightings in New South Wales extremely rare. These creatures thrived during the dinosaur ages, going back 300 million years. Donโ€™t miss this opportunity to potentially find an old soul.

Registration is essential. We hope to see you there!
