Opera House Net Recycling Working Bee – SA

Join OzFish at a working bee to help break down old opera house style nets!
In order to reduce impact to air breathing aquatic animals, opera house nets are no longer permitted for use. In partnership with Green Adelaide, RecFish SA organised for people to swap old style equipment for more wildlife friendly and sustainable pyramid nets.
We now want to ensure the old nets do not end up in landfill, so we are holding a working bee to dismantle them, ready for recycling into useful products as part of OzFish’s Tackle Loop program.
Please bring gloves, sharp scissors and a stanley knife.
A light lunch will be provided at the end of the working bee.
