Mann River Planting Day – Round 2 – NSW

October 21, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm AEDT

Join OzFish to plant some native trees to help the endangered eastern cod.

The Mann river is a perennial stream of the Clarence River catchment and is located in Northern NSW. OzFish Unlimited Chapters Coffs Harbour, Clarence River and Northern Tablelands have been working with the Biodiversity Doctor to clear lantana and camphor laurels. The next step to provide better habitat for the eastern cod is to plant native trees on a 400m stretch of riverbank.

Planting native trees helps restore the riparian zone, which offers diverse and productive habitats and food types to various animals, and provides vital refuges for native fish.

Following the day of planting, participants are invited to camp overnight, just bring a tent and camping gear. Food is available to be purchased at the kiosk.

Registration is essential. We hope to see you there.
