Join us for the 2024 Malpas Dam Redfin Muster for Gone Fishing Day!
Celebrate Gone Fishing Day by participating in the 2024 Malpas Dam Redfin Muster on Sunday, October 13th, from 8 am to 2 pm. This year’s Gone Fishing Day theme, “Fish for Balance, Get Back to Nature,” encourages anglers across the country to spend time on the water and soak up the health and wellness benefits of fishing.
The Malpas Dam Redfin Muster is an ongoing event aimed at supporting our native bass populations by tackling the invasive redfin species. Through education and eradication efforts, recreational fishers have played a crucial role in helping our native bass survive and thrive.
Please bring fishing gear, bait, a hat, sunscreen, enclosed footwear and water. Children must have adult supervision.
Join us for a day of fishing, fun, and making a positive impact for our local ecosystem. Let’s work together to protect our native bass and enjoy the great outdoors. See you at Malpas Dam!
