Installation of fish habitat in the Lower Darling River at Bellevue station

March 17, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm AEDT

Come along and see vital fish habitat being installed.

The OzFish Sunraysia Chapter, along with Western Landcare volunteers, will use best-known practices and procedures for instream restoration techniques to install large habitats into the Lower Darling River at Bellevue station.

The installation will take place over three days, 17th-19th of March from 9.00am-4.00pm at Bellevue Station. Come along whenever suits you, you don’t have to come everyday or stay the entire day, please just let Braeden know when you plan to attend.

The installed habitat will provide vital homes, food source and breeding grounds for native fish, specifically Murray cod and Golden and Silver perch.

Remember to wear sunsmart clothing, sunscreen, appropriate footwear, and bring plenty of drinking water. If you are plan on attending full days, make sure you bring lunch and perhaps snacks.

Please RSVP to Braeden Lampard braedenlampard@ozfish.org.au
