Gone Fishing Day – A Taste of the Richmond

November 14, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm AEDT

Come and try the new Richmond River Rock Oyster!

OzFish Richmond River chapter and the Ballina Fishermen’s Co-operative Commercial Fishers have teamed up to promote the attributes of fishing and how it contributes significantly to mental health and well-being.

Join OzFishers for a day that will bring together members of commercial, recreational and aquaculture groups to stage ‘A Taste of The Richmond’. Our commercial fishers will be offering free tasty morsels from the Richmond River along with OzFish and local Oyster Growers making available the much talked about new Richmond River Rock Oyster for you to taste and evaluate.

It will be a family day with a limited number of give aways, with OzFish crews on hand to show the young ones how to use the gear.
