Moree Fish Motel Building Evening – NSW

May 24, 2023 @ 4:15 pm - 6:30 pm AEST

Do you find the best fishing spot is often near submerged logs? That’s because small bodied native fish species use them for shelter, a place to breed and as feeding grounds.

OzFish members are invited to an exclusive experience where you will learn about resnagging and what it takes to create effective fish habitat. River de-snagging has led to a significant decline throughout the Murray Darling-Basin and we want to bring it back to life by installing fish motels. This is your chance to get involved in making better habitat for better fishing!

Guided by OzFish’s Braeden Lampard, you’ll get your hands dirty and build your own structures that will be installed in wetlands and Billabongs surrounding Moree. Once the hands-on activities are complete, you’ll be transported to the RSL where dinner will be provided and fisho chats will continue into the evening.

Meet at Moree RSL carpark at 4:20pm to be transported to site.
