Dubbo Fish Conservation and Habitat Mixer Forum

On the 12th of December, leading figures from fisheries research and the recreational fishing community will gather in Dubbo to share knowledge and ideas about the developments in native fish management.
You are invited to come together with other like-minded individuals across NSW to learn all about fish conservation and habitat restoration! The event will showcase Dubbo’s active professionals and what is being done to secure the future of fishing. The forum is funded through the NSW Recreational Fishing Trusts and is presented by the Fish Habitat Network.

Forum overview:
This free afternoon mixer is for recreational fishers, landholders and interested community members, to come together to share knowledge and ideas about the latest developments in native fish management, fish habitat and what can be done to make native fish thrive in the Macquarie River Catchment.

This event is also a Yabby Trap Drop Spot. Bring down any old and unwanted opera house yabby traps, and swap it for an Oar-Gee Plow lure to support sustainable fishing practices. Opera house nets are now illegal in NSW and those collected will be recycled into useful products for anglers, with the proceeds being used to support habitat restoration.
