Darwin Harbour Clean-up – NT

AFANT and OzFish Darwin Chapter are proud to be participating in the 14th Annual Darwin Harbour Clean-up, hosted by the Larrakia Rangers.
Removing rubbish from the waters and coastline of the Harbour, the clean-up aims to raise awareness about the effects of rubbish entering our waterways and will encourage everyone to “bin it or take it with you”.
Clean-up teams will be operating on shore and on the water throughout the morning. Weighing and recording of data will be held in the afternoon at two sites – at the end of Fisherman’s Wharf on the rock wall side, and on Cox Peninsula at the Cloppenburg Park, also known as the sports ground. Teams of volunteers will be collecting rubbish along the foreshore at Rapid Creek and Coconut Grove.
More information about locations and meeting times (approximately 8:30-10:30am) will be provided on registration. Cold water and fresh fruit morning tea provided.
Please be aware that it is stinger season and we urge all participants to have the appropriate PPE and to follow all safety guidelines. We urge all participants to stay hydrated and be aware of dehydration symptoms.
