Bottle Bend Community Fishing Day – Saturday Oct 9th

OzFish Unlimited Sunraysia Chapter and The Bottle Bend Reserve Committee invite you to come along and enjoy the open air and attend the family and community fishing day and help us clean carp out of Bottle Bend Billabong. Everyone is welcome to attend, and we’ve got loads of prizes to giveaway.
Bottle Bend Public Reserve is nature reserve on the Murray River, near the Monak. The picturesque riverine environment offers camping sites, picnic tables and walking tracks.
About the Day:
• All events are free to come along and join
• Each day participants will be provided with a bottle of water; make sure you wear sun-smart clothing
• Everyone is welcome to attend, and we’ve got loads of prizes to giveaway
• Family and community day
• Help us clean carp out of Bottle Bend Billabong
• Wildlife demonstration/presentation. (Sarah Holmes)
Prizes:
1st and 2nd prizes awarded for the overall largest common carp caught for each event
10 random prizes drawn for each event
COVID-19 regulations:
• Please register separately for each day that you wish to attend to ensure COVID-safety
• Covid rules and regulations will be adhered to with a QR check in
Times:
The time for all fishing events will be as follows
8:30am – 10:00am – check in and sign on
9:00am – 12:30pm – Fishing times
1:30pm – 2:00pm – Prizes announced via Facebook live

• Bottle Bend reserve is a 1600 hectare nature reserve on the Murray River, south of the Sturt Highway near Monak.
• Drive approximately 12km from Gol Gol heading towards Robinvale township and turn right into Bottle bend reserve
