The event will see volunteers remove environmental weeds and replace them with native plants. This supports local animal species and helps prevent erosion in the adjoining wetlands. The day’s activities will also include trapping and removing pest Mosquito fish, which will be great fun for the kids!
This is a great opportunity for people to get their hands dirty to help repair local wetlands and support the native fish species. There are plenty of beautiful birds, fish, and insects to check out while planting some bush tucker.
Trapping nets will be supplied, but we encourage volunteers to bring their own to ensure we have enough for the kids. Lunch will also be provided.
Registration is essential. We hope to see you there!
