Bilambil Creek Riparian Restoration Planting Day – NSW

April 18, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm AEST

Tweed Landcare is partnering with OzFish to host a planting day to support fish habitat in Bilambil.

By planting 250 native plants along the banks of the creek, we can stabilise the embankment and reduce erosion. Up to 40% of a fish’s diet comes from overhanging branches that are filled with bugs that fall into the water. Let’s get the kids involved and head to Bilambil for a day of fun and giving back to our beloved local creeks.

Lunch will be provided, including veg and gluten free options.

Registration is essential. We hope to see you there!

This project is being delivered by Tweed Landcare and OzFish Unlimited as part of a Habitat Action Grant and a Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife Grant. The “Habitat Action Grant Program” is financed from funds generated through collection of the recreational fishing licence fee in NSW and is managed by NSW DPI Fisheries on behalf of the Recreational Fishing Trust. This event is also supported by BCF – Boating, Camping, Fishing.
