Fish habitat in the Tweed River is destined for an upgrade with the formation of our latest chapter. OzFish Tweed River Chapter is planning on addressing issues that degrade habitat such as erosion, sedimentation and fish barriers. Chapter members see great potential for improvement by opening up fish passage, fixing riparian zones and providing in-stream structure. Their first project is to ensure an improved fishway is installed at the Bray Park Weir in Murwillumbah. Would you like to get involved? We would love to hear from you!
