OzFish members know that better fishing needs healthy waters. That is why they are committed to improve the health of the Logan River with fish habitat restoration projects that will be implemented over the next 3 years. OzFish members and volunteers have already planted over 2,000 plants at Logan River Parklands with more planting days on the way at Scrubby Creek.

Tackle Loop

Tackle Loop

Tackle Loop is OzFish’s solution to provide a home for recreational fishers’ old, unwanted, and broken gear. Working with our partners, we will take in old and discarded gear before ensuring it is recycled instead of polluting Australia’s waterways or ending up in landfill.

Tangle Bins Gold Coast

Tangle Bins Gold Coast

OzFish Tangle Bins have been installed in target areas within South East Queensland since 2019. There are now 43 bins that get monitored and sorted by a dedicated team of volunteers. The bins give fishers the ability to do the right thing and put their discarded tackle and washed out bait-bags into a purpose build bin near their favourite fishing spots.
