Let’s learn some cool facts about my friend
– the wobbegong shark

family: Orectolobidae

 

Wobbegong’s can grow as long as 3m and weigh over 70kg – that’s as heavy as a washing machine!1 They like to hang out in shallow water where there are lots of rocks and weeds, so be careful where you are swimming. 2 The pattern on the body of a spotted wobbegong helps them to camouflage among the reefs3. Do you think I could beat them in a game of hide and seek?
