Let’s learn some cool facts about my friend
– the purple spotted gudgeon Mogurnda adspersa

 

Purple spotted gudgeon’s are endangered, which means we need to do what we can to help protect them.1  They like to lead a quieter life, usually found in slow moving sections of rivers and lakes, near rocks and dense aquatic vegetation.2  They look pretty cool, known for their spots and bright blue colouring, which is generally on display during the breeding season.3 If you ever catch any, they don’t mind a photo, but make sure you return them to the water so they can live a long life!
