OzFish Experience Campout – Patonga NSW

Join local recreational anglers, restoration practitioners, industry researchers, and First Nations leaders for a weekend of camping and fishing!
Explore the challenges facing fish and their habitats, and discover how everyday anglers can make a real difference.
Use your skills and knowledge learned from the weekendโs activities to identify local habitat issues and lead hands-on restoration projects through your local OzFish Chapter with expert guidance and a powerful network behind you.

What’s Included
- Powered camping sites are available for Chapter members.
- Learn from local stakeholders and collaborators working in the space of fish habitat restoration, waterway health and community leadership.
- Connect with your local and neighbour OzFish Chapters, meeting like-minded mates with the same passion for fish habitat restoration and waterway health enhancement.
- Powered camping site for Friday and Saturday night. Please bring your own camping set-up and equipment needed.
- Group dinner will be provided on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Take-away guidebook for future Chapter projects.
- Plenty of time for the fun stuff โ fishing, yarning and sitting around the campfire each night.
What to bring
- Camping style set up and equipment.
- Meals for the weekend. Dinner will be provided on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Hat, water bottle, drinking water for the weekend, working clothes for Saturday’s workshops.
- Fishing gear and tackle.
The final event schedule will be forwarded to attendees in the weeks leading up to the event.
Event requirements
Please note that you will need to be a paid member when the event occurs to secure a spot. Booking confirmation and site details will be emailed to you once your attendance is confirmed with OzFish staff in the weeks leading up the weekend. If you are unsure of your membership status, please contact [email protected].
Registration
To ensure we all have a valued experience, numbers are limited, and registrations are first in best dressed, with confirmation required two weeks before the event. Once confirmed, your site number will be emailed to you by OzFish staff for arrival on Friday.
