Gone Fishing Day Family Friendly Fishing – Hastings/Port Macquarie
October 19 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm AEDT
Bring the whole family along to celebrate National Gone Fishing Day!
This event is perfect for young people and anyone keen to learn more about fishing in a fun, social environment. Whether you’re new to fishing or already a keen angler, there will be something for everyone!
Families and friends can bond over fishing while learning essential skills and best practices from experienced fishers. We’ll focus on sustainable techniques, like catch and release, helping to protect our fish populations and the environment. It’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and gain the confidence to wet a line on your own.
Join the Hastings River Chapter for a day of fun, learning, and community as we come together to support healthier fish habitats and future generations of recreational fishers!
Registration is essential. We hope to see you there!
Gone Fishing Day is an initiative of the Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation (ARFF), the peak national body and key voice for Australia’s recreational fishing community. This event is supported by Recreational Fishing Trusts and BCF-Boating, Camping, Fishing.
