Dr John Conallin – Representing Edward-Wakool Angling Association
John is a locally based scientist who has been working on threatened fish species here and internationally for over two decades and is focussing on threatened recreational based species such as the eel-tailed catfish and golden perch initiatives in the Edward-Wakool system, as well as small-bodied fish such as pygmy perch and purple spotted gudgeon.
Colby Lesko and Gage Wright from spin wright lures – Targeting Murray cod across the Murray Darling Basin
Colby is an Aussie fishing photographer, writer, and fishing guide. Colby is lucky enough to spend most days of the year on the water fishing somewhere in Australia. He loves all forms of fishing, both fresh and saltwater but a couple of his all-time favourites are big Murray cod in the Murray Darling Basin and big GT’s on the great barrier reef. Colby has been fishing since he was old enough to remember and plans on fishing as much as he can in the future.
Iain Ellis – What’s the go with flow? Why it’s needed for native fish to thrive in the Murray Darling Basin
Iain has worked on the biology and ecology of native fish for over fifteen years with particular focus on the conservation of threatened species, and adaptive management to preserve and recover native fish habitat.
John Cahill – Targeting recreational fish species in Oman (Middle east)
John will engage the audience with his extension travel and fishing experiences in Oman, located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. He is eager to share his excitement in discovering fish species beyond our shores and how they are best targeted.
