DCMC & OzFish Darebin Creek Habitat Creation, VIC
July 27 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm AEST

Join Darebin Creek Management Committee and OzFish for National Tree Day at Darebin Creek!
By planting native trees, shrubs and grasses you’ll help restore the creek and provide habitat, shelter, food and safe passage for wildlife such as small woodland birds, sugar gliders and Powerful Owls.
Plants will also help to improve water quality and reduce erosion, benefiting native fish and aquatic life.
Activities on the day include:
- Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony.
- Planting native species to create wildlife habitat.
- Building fish motels – learn how to construct fish habitat.
- Exploring local nest boxes.
- Drawing native plants at a Draw Plants Together workshop.
This is a wonderful chance to help the environment, connect with like-minded people, improve your health and wellbeing, and deepen your connection to Country.
