Be part of Creekwatch Cairns and discover your local creeks and waterways

Want to get involved in an exciting citizen science program to monitor your local waterways and restore fish habitat? Of course the answer is a resounding “YES!”, so come join OzFish at the launch of Creekwatch, a community event taking place at Lily Creek in the heart of Cairns.

The launch will feature a morning of family-friendly fun, with plenty of activities including sampling waterbugs, conducting fish surveys, and testing water quality. All are welcome, we’ll see you there!

What to bring

  • Enclosed shoes.
  • Wear a long-sleeved shirt and hat.
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent.
  • Drinking water.
