Corner Inlet Seagrass Restoration – VIC

Come along and lend a hand to support seagrass restoration efforts in Corner Inlet!
OzFish, Yarram Yarram Landcare Network and the West Gippsland CMA, along with support from the Corner Inlet Commercial Fishers, are working to restore the critically important seagrass meadows of Corner Inlet.
Sand “Snakes” are created and placed on the bottom of the sea floor to create productive zones for seagrass to recover. We need your help to prep our sandbags for our upcoming deployments.
Come along to our community volunteer day and hear about how fishers, community and Landcare are working together to restore these critical fish habitats.
This event will be located at Port Welshpool (Specific location to be provided to registered attendees closer to the event date).
