Community Tree Planting – Burringbar Creek
May 4 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am AEST

Join us in a collaborative effort to restore the riparian zone along Burringbar Creek!
Our ongoing restoration project with Tweed Landcare, Burringbar Community Landcare and Tweed Shire Council has already restored 250m of riparian zone, but there’s still more work to be done!
Postponed due to site issues, new event dates will be published when ready.
With your help, we want to double this area and plant another 250 native trees and grasses along the bank to help our native bass. The weeds will already be removed.
All you have to do is come down and enjoy the good feeling of getting some trees in the ground that will help stabilise the bank, reduce erosion, improve water quality and improve fish habitats.
This goes beyond just planting trees. It strengthens and connects local like-minded communities, working together to make a real difference to our local waterways.
Drinks, morning tea, beautiful surroundings, and great company will be provided. Registration is essential. See you there!
This event is supported by Landcare NSW Partnership, Tweed Landcare, and Tweed Shire Council with funding support from BCF – Boating, Camping, Fishing.
