Maroochy River and Caboolture River, QLD 2023
Through the Caboolture and Maroochy community’s combined actions, native fish habitat continues to be protected and restored within Queensland. Restoration included improvements of in-stream habitat, saltmarsh monitoring a unique shellfish reef trial and and riparian and wetland rehabilitation. The end goal is to enhance fish abundance and diversity. Collaborative efforts like these will safeguard the well-being of aquatic ecosystems, native fish, and overall ecological balance.
Tackle Loop
Tackle Loop is OzFish’s solution to provide a home for recreational fishers’ old, unwanted, and broken gear. Working with our partners, we will take in old and discarded gear before ensuring it is recycled instead of polluting Australia’s waterways or ending up in landfill.
