Port Phillip Bay Chapter

The OzFish Port Phillip Bay Chapter is a vibrant community of dedicated anglers, environmental divers and conservationists committed to preserving and enhancing the aquatic habitats in the Port Phillip Bay region. Focused on sustainable fishing practices, ocean divers support the chapter to conduct marine debris and invasive species cleanups at local piers and habitat restoration. The Chapter actively engages in projects that protect local waterways and support biodiversity. Through educational programs, hands-on restoration activities, and community events, they foster a deep connection to the environment and promote responsible stewardship. Location

The Chapter covers the Port Phillip Bay region in Victoria, on the eastern shores of Port Phillip Bay and undertakes activities from St Kilda to Mornington and has extended its services to Westernport when needed.

Country

The region’s traditional owners and custodians are the Bun wurrung Aboriginal people.

Meeting

Members meet periodically throughout the year for informal gatherings, discussing projects and enhancements to the regions fish habitat. Meeting details, including dates and venues, are communicated to members via email notifications.
