Volunteers are the unsung heroes at OzFish and deserve recognition. We are now taking nominations for the 2023 OzFishers of the Year, with submissions open until 31st May 2023.
Do you know an OzFish member bringing the OzFish mission to life in your community? OzFish and our sponsors want to recognise and reward these hardworking, dedicated individuals.
Our amazing OzFish community
OzFish are fortunate enough to have over 3,162 volunteers, and we want to recognise these members who are a part of the OzFish cause. There is no limit for the reasons people are nominated, it can be for anything, some examples include:
- Hours volunteered
- Going above and beyond to support the cause
- Innovative ways/things/systems implemented
- Using personal resources to volunteer, such as a private boat
- Spreading the OzFish word
How to nominate your favourite OzFisher?
This is an important initiative close to our hearts, as we know our members are the heart and soul of what we do. You can help us recognise and celebrate our volunteers by submitting a nomination today. A number of awards will come with a prize pack partially funded by in-kind donations from our partners; how cool is that?!
It is super easy, all that is required is to write up to 300 words sharing the special way(s) the nominee has contributed to their time volunteering with OzFish.
