Ray Klerck – Regional Communication and Engagement Officer NSW Coast

With a lifelong love for the outdoors and a deep-rooted commitment to preserving the environment, Ray Klerck is also the current President of the OzFish Richmond River Chapter.

Having witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of the 2022 floods on his local waterways, Ray has made it his mission to help restore the Richmond River, which holds the unfortunate title of being the most polluted river in NSW.

Drawing on a career built on writing, editing, marketing campaign development and media, Ray has spearheaded collaborative efforts with local groups and environmental organizations, emphasizing the importance of grassroots action in healing and protecting local ecosystems.
