Since 2020, the fishing and Landcare communities have come together to scale-up habitat restoration activities across Australia and already have exciting plans for year three and beyond.

The partnership saw more than 20 new fish habitat restoration projects co-designed and delivered across NSW.

The partnership saw 20 new fish habitat restoration projects delivered along with volunteer upskilling and education.

A further 20 projects were delivered across NSW, resulting in over 1.5 tonnes of rubbish removed, and the planting of over 15,000 native trees and shrubs.

Landcarers and OzFishers came together at 15 locations across NSW to create 60 new waterway homes for fish, and restoring over 30 kilometres of riverbanks.

In the first year of the Landcare Partnership, OzFish and Landcare have achieved close to one million dollars of habitat restoration work and 14,300 more trees planted along riverbanks.
