What do you get for being an OzFish member?

On top of supporting waterway habitat improvements around the country, we offer a range of member benefits listed below, as well as a membership kit so you look the part and collect what you need to be a more sustainable fisher.

2025’s Sustainable Fishing Kit item is an OzFish Boat Tidy Bag to help you ‘fish’ any litter out of your local waterways and keep it contained – they’re great for the boat, car or tackle box.

Family membership

Starting at $35/year.

Each family member will receive their own kit appropriate to their age.

Junior Member Kit
(14 years and under)

JUNIOR membership

Starting at $15/year.

If you opt for a multi-year membership, each year that you hold a current OzFish membership, you will automatically receive the next sustainable fishing item to build towards your kit (around October annually) – you don’t need to do anything else.

Family Membership: starting at $35/year
Ideal for families with up to 6 members in total who love spending time together outdoors and want to contribute to conservation efforts. Each child will also receive an Ozzie badge to get them started on the Junior OzFisher program.

Junior Membership: starting at $15/ year
Designed for children between 4-14, each Junior member gets their first Ozzie badge along with their welcome pack and is on their way to start the Junior OzFisher program.

Anyone who is passionate about fishing and conservation can become a member. We offer memberships for individuals, families, and children. A membership is a sign of support to help revitalise and restore your favourite fishing spots.

Becoming a member is easy! Simply click the appropriate membership button above, fill out the required information, and complete the payment process.

Members receive exclusive updates, access to special events and workshops, discounts on merchandise and events, discounts to partners and opportunities to participate in local restoration projects. You’ll also be part of a community dedicated to protecting our waterways.

No, unfortunately, only donations of $2 or more to OzFish Unlimited are tax-deductible. Membership fees do not qualify for tax deductions. If you have any further questions, please consult with your tax advisor for specific advice regarding your situation.

If there isn’t a local OzFish Chapter near you, there are still several ways you can get involved:

Join the nearest Chapter: You can sign up to be a member of the nearest OzFish Chapter. Even if it’s not in your immediate area, you can still participate in their events, receive updates, and support their projects.
Become a Non-Chapter Member: You can join OzFish Unlimited as a non-chapter member. This allows you to stay informed about our national initiatives, access member benefits, and support our conservation efforts.
Start a new Chapter: If you’re passionate about making a difference in your local area, consider starting a new OzFish Chapter. Contact us at info@ozfish.org.au or call (1800) 431 308 to learn more about the process and how we can support you in setting up a new chapter.

In addition to becoming a member, you can volunteer for local projects, participate in events and workshops, follow us on social media, and spread the word about our work to your friends and family.

You will receive a reminder email before your membership expires. You can renew your membership online through the same process as joining. Renewal comes with a new kit item annually and all the other benefits of being a member.
